Secure storage and management of safety incident evidence.
Overview
The Evidence Vault allows you to:
- Upload photos, documents, and other evidence
- Attach evidence to incidents
- Organize evidence by incident
- Download evidence for reports
Supported File Types
- Images: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
- Documents: PDF, DOC, DOCX
- Other: Any file type (stored securely)
Usage
Uploading Evidence
- Navigate to incident detail page
- Open Evidence Vault section
- Click "Upload Evidence"
- Select files (multiple files supported)
- Files are automatically attached to incident
Viewing Evidence
- Click on evidence item to view
- Download button for each file
- Preview for images
Removing Evidence
- Click X button on evidence item
- Confirmation required
- Evidence is permanently removed
Storage
Evidence is stored in:
- Supabase Storage (recommended)
- Secure, tenant-isolated buckets
- Automatic backup
Best Practices
- Upload Immediately: Upload evidence right after incident
- Multiple Angles: Take photos from different angles
- Document Everything: Include all relevant documents
- Organize: Use descriptive file names
- Backup: Keep local copies of critical evidence
Privacy & Security
- Evidence is tenant-isolated
- Only authorized users can access
- RLS policies enforce access control
- Audit logs track access
